~ Farashna ~ A poem by Robert A. Flaspoehler:

Two butterflies passing
Through the last days of twilight winter.
Dreamy soaring with each day of spring.
Toes twitching, aching to fly,
Life's winter rambles by.

Inward beauty masks the hesitancy of flight.
Wings laden with pleasure, beautiful as
High mountain retreats. The journey calls,
Winter's destination is left behind.

Oh soft and gentle flight,
Sparkled wings now four delight.
A gasp a pause a breath of air,
Then two tender calls.
Spring and Summer on to fall ... fly fly fly
